4 THINKING OF TOMORROW, TODAY GREEN LINE All plastic packaging in the EU should be recyclable by 2030. The EU standard requirements for recycling quotas and reduction of CO2 emissions are continuously becoming more rigorous. Taking care of the environment through application of equal properties We develop products that combine sustainability and environmental protection with pioneering material properties. After recognizing increasing demand and raised awareness amongst retail customers, we released a cup range which uses bio-based plastics in production – without neglecting the quality. Rather than being produced with crude oil, this sustainable plastic is made out of a renewable resource, namely sugar-cane. The utilization of such an alternative results in 2.5 tons of CO2 being saved per ton of plastic prepared.
